Calingiri Primary School is a small Wheatbelt regional school situated approximately 140kms north of Perth. We offer primary education for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our teaching and learning program is implemented by dedicated teachers who work collaboratively to ensure a high quality curriculum is delivered to students.
We aim to prepare students to be positive and flexible learners enabling each student to achieve to their maximum potential.
Centenary Celebrations 2017
This event will be held on 14th October 2017 and representatives from the school and broader community have formed a working party to initiate planning and event organisation.
This will be a major event for Calingiri that will attract ex students, ex residents (and their families) and former staff to the town. The most recent school/community anniversary was held 25 years ago to recognise the 75th Anniversary of the school. Whilst the school is the location for the main event, we are planning an evening dinner at the Calingiri Sports Club and a recovery breakfast at the Calingiri Sports Ground the next morning followed by some fun community sports to wind up the weekend.
The celebration of our Centenary in October will be the main event focus.
We are gathering support from ex students, ex residents (and their families) and former staff, along with current students their families and staff to donate pavers to rework the old and tired school entry to create a “Centenary Pathway”. We will incorporate the Centenary Pathway with our school logo.
The centenary celebrations will be an afternoon-evening event that will include the opening of a time capsule, bus tours around the town, open classrooms, school museum, photographic displays, interviews of ex-students, student performances, food stalls, craft and produce stalls plus music and entertainment.
Have your name (or your family group) etched in history and come along on Saturday 14th October 2017 to what will be a great event for our school and wider community
